Coaches Advisory Council
Membership on the Coaches Advisory Council consists of no fewer than 15 and no more than 30 members representing as many different sports as possible. The Coaches Advisory Council consists of individuals committed to working within their respective sports to advocate for coaches’ support of strong and clear policies defining professional behavior that advances the safety and welfare of athletes. Members are willing to communicate with coaching colleagues and within professional coaching associations for coaches’ support of the adoption of effective policies, procedures, and educational programs by sport clubs and teaching gyms that prevent sport leader and peer misconduct whether it be sexual, bullying, harassment or other forms of inappropriate behaviors. Members speak out to encourage and help educate all parents, athletes, and the general public that while the great majority of all coaches adhere to the highest standards of integrity, parents and athletes must be more aware of what they can do to recognize inappropriate coach behavior and take the proper steps to stop it.
Coaches Advisory Council is currently forming from Coaches and Clubs that have adopted Safe4Athletes Policies. If you are a Coach and would like to help Safe4Athletes continually develop our policies to meet the highest standard in sports we would like to hear from you. Coaches from all levels of coaching are encouraged to apply and all sports welcome.
